Hello,
I tried to update the drivers for my AMD Graphics Card.
First I visited the page https://www.amd.com/en/support
I clicked on "Download Now" and tried to install the programm as described.
I chose to delete all of my old drivers during the installation process.
But once I restarted my computer it prompted me an error: error 170
I also tried to just execute the setup.exe in the C:/AMD/RadeonInstaller folder after the failed install without choosing to reset the drivers to factory setting and without rebooting but then it gives me the error: "AMD Installer cannot continue because it is unable to access the required web sources" (Error 195).
I instead downloaded the driver from PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6819 - Pitcairn PRO [Radeon HD 7850 /… | Device Hunt and Find unknown device information and drivers | Device Hunt
in order to have an installation of the drivers without an internet connection.
Unfortunately right at the end of the install it gives me error 1603 https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-kb1603 .
When I run the setup.exe again without choosing to reset to factory settings before the install it also gives me the error 1603 but at a different point during the installation.
I really need to get those drivers working or I can't run most of my programs on my PC because they all need OpenGL.
Please tell me if there is:
1.A way to fix the connection problems with the auto-detect installer
2.A way to fix error 1603
3.A way to safely install old drivers so I can at least run basic programs that need OpenGL
Computer: Desktop with Windows 7 installed (64-bit)
Graphics Card:
AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6819&SUBSYS_E221174B&REV_00\4&2997DCDD&0&0010
Log Files are attached, a few parts are in german due to my language settings:
1.Log File After Rebooting when choosing the auto detection tool from https://www.amd.com/en/support
2.Log File choosing the Installer from devicehunt.com with reboot (reset to factory settings)
3.Log File choosing the Installer from devicehunt.com without reboot
I noticed that the first two logs have the error message:
where the command "net" is not found. Running the console cmd not as admin and running the command "net" returns the same message.
