Another Aero Snap Function?

Has anyone else noticed this. I often like to have my windows a tall as I can so I can see as much of a page a possible without having them maximized. In build 7000 when I grab the top of the title bar (double ended arrow) or a corner and drag it to the top of the screen or the bottom of a window (or bottom corner) and drag that down to the taskbar, the window automatically sizes itself to the full height of the desktop.

I've noticed that Brink has done several tutorials on different Snap features, but how about having a tutorial that brings all the features together in one place. Just a thought.

You can also snap the window to the side (so that it covers half the screen) and after it has snapped you can drag it to the left or the right to place it anywhere you want.

Exactly. And drag the title bar to the top of the screen and the window will go full screen. Drag it back down and it reverts.

Just FYI, when you get the double arrow mouse pointer by hovering over the top edge of the title bar, you can double click to do the same.

I'm not sure now, and I can't try it now, but by memory if you double-leftclic on the bottom of a window (the transparent border) it will use the full height of the screen without modification of the width.

That actually works for either the top (NOT the title-bar) or bottom borders. Double-clicking either the top or bottom border when the mouse cursor is in "windows resize mode", then the window will maximize vertically to fill the height of the screen.

Can windows be snapped to the top half and bottom half of screen like they can snap to the left side and right side of screen?

Thanks for the response. That's too bad because it would have been just as useful as snapping windows to the left and right sides of the screen. From what I have read, dragging a window to the top maximizes the window, but it is easier to just double click the title bar for the same results. Unless that has change too.
