Sorry in advance for bringing up this subject again. I read through all my searches for this problem and haven't any luck. Got the bootmgr is compresssed error when starting up because of doing the compressing option. I do not have any dics to use to boot up from. I've downloaded the Windows 7 system recovery disc and made it into a bootable disc. But when i try booting up and hit F8, it doesn't work. How do i get into my bios to choose the option to boot from cd instead of hard drive. Any advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Dave

as you first boot you need to access the bios, usually the del(ete) button.
Typically located under boot will be the order it checks devices, you just need to make cd the first option. Then go to exit - save and exit. The system will then restart.
