Get good devices then :)
Night Hawk can offer some good suggestions mostly because he has used so many :p

itaste mvp 2.0 is good but needs a different tank to be good nautilus mini
A year later and I'm sure many new devices have surfaced and mine still are kicking
I have 2 the above one and a inferno not great it does require a lot of cleaning but does work and did get me off cig's :)
The itaste was a backup and a daily user with awesome battery life and a lot easier to maintain.
But did need another tank

Nighthawk -

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm trying to quit cold turkey after 60 years of sucking it in. Been five days and very minor bumps over this road. Again, appreciate your help.

Cold Turkey for 8 months solid back in 1980 having picked up one brand of menthols back in '77 and wasn't too hard to do. But at that time a little lady was the incentive but didn't and I ended up still working long hours and club hopping back when everybody lit up!

10-11yrs. ago I started running into bits and pieces of intel on smokeless and then electronic cigarettes I originally thought would be good for those gatherings when non smokers were mixed with smokers on holidays and occasions but that news back in Sept. 2012 of one of the SF members for a bit dumping a 4 pack a day habit was the break point! I was then pointed at places where vaping gear sold as well as looking up one brand I tried out but knew wasn't going to be the hump buster to keep it final!

I doubt you will see me stop vaping any time soon unless .

Unless you open a used vaping mod's store and sell them all :p
1000's.us in mod's spent sir :)

Cold turkey is tough and doomed to fail unless you receive a lucky dog award :)

I think the one thing that deters more then helps people spend less on the stuff that offers less and spend more time with the better gear is not seeing everyone who posts a YouTube video blowing clouds and then you hear: "well my Provari vv battery at 4.1v does the job!" without ever knowing that the increased vapor output can actually keep you vaping as it offers more of both flavor and vapor depending on the ejuice as well as the set up.

What I ended up with took time to find which is now far more commonly available being roughly 20-25w and even 40w or 70w on a 150w depending on tank and ejuice you put in! That plays a larger role that will vary from person to person. Then once you find that "just right" combination that works you find you are not looking for more so much and you then start "not spending" so much!

One example was going after a lot of new gear last fall into spring and now will hardly be looking for maybe a few new tanks and an extra mod compared to the first year or so. Presently it depends where I am and what I am doiing since I carry an iStick 50w or the latest MVP 3.0 Pro 60w model since both have the long life batteries while the iStick's 4400mah always seems to outlast the MVP's 4500mah battery.

The MVP 20W 20watt mod sits along with another iStick 50w when watch the tube as well as that first stand holding a Vamo 3-15w and the four Innokin iTaste VV(variable voltage) v3.0s 6-11w batteries despite the small 700mah have held up now for almost two full years.

The small 350, 400mah eGo type non variable batteries? seriously lack in quality along with the low voltage. BCC=Bottom Coil Clearomizer, BDC=Bottom Dual coil Clearomizer, not so much for the BVDC=Bottom Vertical Dual Coil but the BVC=Bottom Vertical Coil in tanks fare better then clearomizers it seem. Forget any CE2-CE5 stuff as that is lower end quick sell for eGo type batteries while SMOK has good but still a bit cheaply made tanks. Aspire has outshined a number of brands with the Triton being ideal for those who would otherwise drill additional air intake holes.

Someway, somehow, I need to get the Lucky Dog Award.....
Failure is not an option.....

You have to "Want To Quit"! You have to think "This has to be Done Period"! And you also need to realize "Nicotine Addiction is a Farse blown out of proportion by the Media"!

And better not eat any tomatoes or eggplant if you have any concern over "can't get the nicotine down fast enough"! I went 0% nic before the date I finished off the last carton on. Did you know it would tank about 50mg all the way up over 110mg for the system to absorb the same amount of nicotine from an ecig as it would from a tobacco product?!

Then consider the rest of the actual science showing that nicotine can help for those with memory loss problems and is equal to about what Caffeine is in a cup of fresh brewed coffee. Some teas actually see more Caffeine then most brands of coffee sold!

PG or Propylene Glycol not the other forms of Glycol broadcast in the negative blog campaigns but the one of two main ingredients besides flavorings and nicotine being optional was first used back during WW II during the Influenza outbreak sprayed in hospital tents to sanitize the air! It has also been in use with Immediate Asthmatic inhalers since the 50s and you wonder why some with COPD who smoked are noticing vast improvements when turning to vaping. Follow the science not the Crock and B stories being floated! That will be a help in reaching your goal as well as your need to examine the various hardwares now seen compared to just a couple of years ago!

Get good devices then :)

But did need another tank

They came out with an iTaste v4 model with either a 1000mah or 1100mah battery I was considering but the 700s are still in good shape for those extras. The MVP 3.0 is the 30w model but still sees the 2600mah while the Pro came out to compete with the iStick 50w and 100w models. The 100w take a pair of 18650s however and I have the 30w DovPo E-LVT, All Stainless ZNA 50 50w, and 150w wooden box mod now in a large leather carrying case with the extra 20w and 10w iSticks and one 50w along with spare 18650 batteries and simply a place to store things when not in use except for the DovPo on one stand and the ZNA 50 and MVP 3.0 Pro on the other mod stand on the PC desk here

I spend enough over the time gradually getting into the better stuff as it was first being seen which is where the expense came in over now simply being able to pick and choose! Going with tanks that can handle 40w, 50w, or higher even while only starting off with a 20w or 30w mod is a smart move while some will end up running mechanical mods and rebuilding their own coils.

Personally the progress being seen with the newer tank designs especially with sub ohm tanks now able to handle higher output it can work well. But initially transitioning over from smoke to vapor is a project in itself at times! At least now however a growing number of Cardiovascular specialists have stepped upto the plate regarding the potential life saving potentials seen for people who switch! Simply type MOVEorganization.org on any search engine to arrive at the home site.

That movie exposing all the corruption and political influencing seen by Big Pharmaceutical interests will be out something during the first part of 2016 which should interest a good number of people since it not effects those who still do or did already quite but non smokers as well as it gets into how Big Pharma has been using the public as guinea pigs all along for new products which are not fully tested in labs first before going out on the market.

There's a big joke about Chantrix floating the social networks about that one and how it can drive you to certain demise?! The movie itself however gets into a large variety of things as the film crew travels to various places around the globe.

I sorta disagree on the Provari part.
The reason is, to this day My Provari + Kayfun Lite setup, is still to this day my favorite and my go to set up. I use it 75% of the time especially when out and about.

No, it doesn't create huge clouds like the sub ohm builds do, but has great flavor and very good vapor production. At least for 50/50 or 60vg/40PG blends. Any higher VG than 60 and it can sometimes have issues wicking if not wicked just right.
In fact, its the set up that really got my off tobacco and on to vaping.

I just picked up a Lemo Drop. Actually like it quite well. At first I built like a Kayfun and it was lacking big time.
Then built a .8 Ohm parallel with 28gauge and its great.
Still a bit to much vapor for most uses.

But Im not huge on sub ohming TBH. Plus most of those builds just guzzle the E-juice.
I get just as much satisfaction, if not more, from my Provari/Kayfun builds and use a fraction of the juice to do it.

Plus I dont like blowing huge clouds in public or around others that don't smoke/vape. And it irritates me when others do it without considering the environment they are in at the time. But that's just me.

This is actually quite interesting , and really sums up the conclusion I came to as well. He explains much better than I can.

I Quit

After 60 years and several false quits, I stopped. Used "Chantix". It is expensive and requires a prescription. It's been three years and I some times wake up in the night trying to flip ashes. I have decided it will never go away. I think you just learn to cope with it.

You should see what others have to say about Chantrix! Too many frown on that stuff for sure being another "We'll use the gullable public as the guinea pigs to further develop this one!"

jgt7xj.jpg

Even with the face blotted out you get the general idea of the reputation Big Pharma is getting! Ineffective and even potentially dangerous anti-smoking or smoking cessation products that don't work! This is why the upcoming film due out in early 2016 blows the lid off of a lot of stuff! "A BILLION LIVES" being the title for that one.

A Billion Lives - Documentary Film Announcement

I didn't need any chemicals here to quit but had been looking for a non smoke alternative besides pills to control allergy attacks! Vaping menthol flavors solved the need for menthol smoke and no longer needing the stench of cleaning ash trays! Within a few months time the person who started up the ejuice business as well as my findings revealed that going from 24mbg of nicotine to 0% made absolutely no difference other then seeing a higher percentage of flavorings as far as the actual end result.

The compulsion to smoke is the hand to mouth repetition seen as well as the experience of inhaling tobacco flavored smoke while vaping replaces smoke with vapor to eliminate the tar, carbon monoxide, Cadmium, Lead, and thousands of other elements uncluding the 68 known carcihnogens and by the way The Truth about Cancer a 9 part web cast is running at this moment.

A Billion Lives Thanks for all the shares Dave! It means a lot to us...especially now that Facebook is censoring us...

Dave:
I think your efforts are being blocked due to Big $$$ putting their two cents in! You have to expect there will be opposition when trying to get actual facts out there. It's still going to be uphill regardless of how you look at things however since they want to keep their holds on things!
Facebook isn't the only place I have been sharing at either! Try regular vaping as well as pc forums!
(SF as well as a vaping site I frequent)
Another web cast has a 9 part series going now which gets into how Big Pharma has prevented doctors from suggesting alternative treatments for cancer knowing Chemotherapy kills! Some 97% end up dead while other treatments without radiation are not being allowed by "Corporate Greed"!

(Notation: A 9 part series of Youtube web cast 2hr. segments with experts from various countries regarding the devastating consequences of having only Chemotherapy available in the so called "civilized" countries run by Big $$$ in contrast to alternative therapies that don't cause harm but can see results.)

Apparently some 500 or more didn't feel the same way as you do from the hearsay about that one. The tv spots caution: "If you have any thoughts about .... discontinue immediately and contact your doctor!" as if they can then turn around and watch the "Quack"? prescribe some other useless commodity.

That Part #1 of 9 total segments on how Big Pharma prevents doctors from recommending anything but Chemotherapy that ends up killing 97% of those who are treated by it went on to interview various doctors who stated they would lose their license to practice if not pushing Chemo on cancer patients when Chemo is a cause! The treatment not only effects the cancerous cells but turns healthy cell cancerous! Other alternative therapies found to work are banned! That's the monopoly Big Pharma tries with smoking cessation products and pressing legislators to ban or impose restrictions on vaping.

In one W.MA. township back in 2013 the Board of Health Dept. tried banning everything and had to end the public meeting fast when tempers soared. Massachusetts Town's Proposed Tobacco Sale Ban Meeting Ends Minutes After Starting | NECN

That was one year ago this month and as a result of the outrage and accusations of infringement of civil liberties as well as snugging out the livelihoods of local business since people who do smoke will be more apt to stop at local convenience stores and gas stations there they ended up dropping the proposal entirely. https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2...bacco-sales/iUqa8BceSI1wO4rFtpqkUL/story.html

Someone in Attleboro another MA. small city states that community's Dept. of Health is now working on a total ban as well one year after that where I advised bringing that video to their attention. People have to make their own choices on just what they will end up doing as far as continuing to light up or dump smoke entirely.

The excuses people offer of "I can't do it!" simply indicates they are not ready or actually do not want to! If you do want to you make the decision and stick with it. That simply comes right back to mind set and will power in order to break a long time habit. Vaping is the alternate method for hand to mouth delivery when opting to see nic in ejiuce.

But never dismiss the possible need to upgrade away from cigarette look alikes to something like sub ohm tanks simply because you don't want to make clouds. I vape here with sub ohms without cloud making but simply get a much improved vape from them over that old CE2-4, 5 cheapie. I still have a few vv/vw type eGo batteries in use while the main device will be a 50w box mod like the iStick or ZNA 50. I have a 20w wood body SMOK Vamo Fire APV with a 5ml Nautilus sitting on top of that and not a sub ohm just a good brand and type of tank.

Here I still end up seeing a cough at times but mainly from the effect PG has on drying things up where I get some mucous build up I end up needing to clear out. And that isn't from chain vaping either since at times it may hours before I even take a few puffs mainly to control the sinus activity! Post nasal drippage, sneezing now to be more likely any dust stirred up while blasting the case out has never been any problem I don't pin anything on the furball either(golden lab/retriever).

The one thing I can say is gone here for sure is that old tightening in the chest feeling that was becoming quite noticeable by the time I did end the regular habit! But for the same reason I would end up stepping out more frequently to light one up I no longer have to physically look after that person anymore. That was someone who had to use a stoma pouch not the most pleasant plastic bag to be emptied or replaced! Another health factor however having been a former smoker was CO2 build up from the decreased ability to expell carbon to breath in fresh O2 oxygen. They misdiagnosed that for bladder leakage and dehydration the first time around until hospitalized again the following summer!

Now was the lack of ability to expell CO2 from previously having been a smoker is still an unknown while a chief suspect! That tar can do a lot of damage that you inhale in from smoke also being the leading cause for smoker's lung cancer besides all the other additives and toxins found in smoke!

National Call to Action: Tell the White House to urge FDA to re-work the deeming regulations so that life-saving vapor products can remain on the market!

(Please note: At the time of this writing, changes to the FDA deeming regulations have not been published. CASAA’s assessment of the FDA’s proposed regulations is based on the version that was published in 2014. That having been said, it will take nothing short of a complete overhaul of the proposed deeming rule in order to allow nearly even 10% of vapor products currently on the market to remain on the market.)

Today, Tuesday, October 27th, longtime vaping opponent the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) has organized a call-in action to urge President Obama to put pressure on the FDA to finalize their Tobacco Deeming Regulations. What CTFK and others are failing to mention is that if the deeming regulations are enacted as written, 99.9% of the vapor products currently on the market will be gone within two to four years. Make no mistake, the current proposed regulations will have a devastating impact on consumers and businesses alike; not to mention the obvious damage to public health.

Congress Moves to Protect the Vapor Industry from the FDA’s Deeming Ban.

Spending bill would not stop regulations, but would stop unprecedented product bans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the American Vaping Association, a leading advocate for the benefits of vapor products such as electronic cigarettes, praised the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Related Agencies for its approval of a spending bill that would prevent the FDA from regulating the vast majority of vapor products out of existence.

If enacted, the bill would make clear that the FDA Center for Tobacco products cannot require vapor products already on the market to go through a lengthy and potentially multimillion dollar Premarket Tobacco Review application process. This bill would not impact the FDA’s ability to regulate these products, including setting rigorous product and manufacturing standards.

Since the FDA regulation was proposed last April, industry and public health advocates have warned that the FDA’s insistence on retroactively applying the Premarket Tobacco Review requirements to already existing products would lead to over 99% of vapor products being banned. This would happen for no reason other than the inability of nearly all product manufacturers — other than those associated with large tobacco companies — to bear the associated costs.

In November, House leadership signaled that Congress could act on this issue if the FDA failed to do so. Speaker Rep. John Boehner, Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy, and House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Rep. Fred Upton sent a joint letter to the Secretary of Health & Human Services requesting that this change be implemented in the regulation.

Gregory Conley, President of the American Vaping Association, issued the following statement:

“Without action by Congress, the FDA’s proposed regulations threaten to ban 99%-plus of vapor products currently available on the market. This would be a disaster not only for thousands of small businesses, but also public health.

“This proposal does not remove the FDA’s ability to regulate vapor products. The FDA will retain the authority to immediately move forward with science-based product standards, disclosure requirements, and many other measures. Anyone who claims that this bill would somehow render the FDA toothless is either not familiar with the law or not being forthright.

“We are thrilled to see movement on this issue. Clear evidence is emerging from around the world that vapor products are helping smokers quit. It is unconscionable to effectively ban the sale of tens of thousands of vapor products while leaving combustible cigarettes freely available.”

Nicotine Itself Isn't The Real Villain

Sally Satel ,
Contributor

I write about issues at the intersection of medicine and culture.

The man in charge of tobacco regulation at the Food and Drug Administration says we “need a national debate on nicotine.” Good idea. But first we need to understand what nicotine is – and what it isn’t.

It isn’t the stuff that can cause serious illness and death from cancer, lung, and heart disease. Those culprits are the tar and toxic gases that are released from burning tobacco when you smoke.

Nicotine is a chemical that is dangerous not because it causes cancer but because it can addict you to cigarettes. As Michael Russell, the father of tobacco harm reduction theory and the developer of nicotine gum, put it in 1976: “People smoke for nicotine but they die from the tar.”

Mitchell Zeller, director of the Center of Tobacco Products, a division of the FDA, made his comments about nicotine in an interview with New York Times columnist Joe Nocera on the eve of his agency’s recommendations for regulating electronic cigarettes.

The nature of e-cigarettes is that, like Russell’s gum, they contain nicotine and thus satisfy the cravings of smokers, but vaping – as puffing on an e-cigarette is called – doesn’t burn tobacco and release those carcinogens. Unfortunately, many Americans don’t understand that nicotine itself isn’t the villain.

I hate bumping old threads but here's one more "POSITIVE" report for vapers everywhere!

New Study: Electronic Cigarettes Vapor Has NO Toxic Effect

by admin | Feb 18, 2016

e-cig.jpg

In a recent study, scientists have found electronic cigarette vapor has NO toxic effect on the cells found in human lungs. Fresh research, funded by British American Tobacco (BAT), suggested inhaling nicotine vapor could be as safe as breathing air.

To perform these experiments, the tobacco giant teamed up with the MatTek Corporation, maker of human cell models used in “in vitro” laboratory experiments. Scientists then used a “smoking robot” to expose these lung cell replicas to tobacco smoke, two different brands of e-cig vapor, and plain old air.

After being exposed to old-fashioned smoke for six (6) hours, the cells died. However, after subjecting the cells to an “aggressive and continuous” dose of e-cig vapor, researchers claimed the damage to the airway tissue was “similar to that of air”. BAT spokesperson, Dr Marina Murphy, stated “by employing a combination of a smoking robot and a lab-based test using respiratory tissue, it was possible to demonstrate…. the e-cigarette aerosols used in this study have no [toxic] effect on human airway tissue.”

There are plans to tests a wider variety of e-cigs, to prove its results. “Currently there are no standards concerning the ‘in vitro’ testing of electronic cigarette aerosols,” said Marina Trani, ‎Group Head Scientific Product Stewardship at British American Tobacco. “Our protocol could prove very useful in helping the process by which these guidelines might progress.”

The debate about e-cigarette safety has been raging for several years. Study after study have highlighted health risks, although most experts agree vaping is much safer than smoking cigarettes. Dr Michael Siegel, professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at Boston University’s School of Public Health, welcomed the latest study as evidence of the safety of electronic cigarettes; stating “Despite the limitations of the research, it adds additional evidence to support the contention that vaping is a lot safer than smoking.”

He called on public health bodies and anti-tobacco groups alike to encourage smokers to swap to vaping; a step which would “transform the nicotine market and achieve a huge public health victory.” going on to proclaim, “Such a phenomenon would result in the greatest public health miracle of our lifetimes.”

However, the health expert warned overheating liquid nicotine could produce dangerous toxins. Personally, overheating e-juice taste horrible and should be avoided for that reason alone. Vaping advocates claimed the previously research results, which found e-cigs vapor held dangerous chemicals, were false due to the nicotine liquid being exposed to high temperatures.

Earlier this year, British American Tobacco announced the release of a device called Voke, not currently available on the market, which is licensed as a medicine and produces no heat, working more like an asthma inhaler than an electronic cigarette.

Tom Pruen, Chief Scientific Officer of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Trade Association, stated he was satisfied the latest research was accurate. “While I’m sure that for many the source of the research will be a problem, of recent years the science conducted by the tobacco industry has been of very good quality, and despite the historic issues I wouldn’t view it with any greater skepticism than research conducted elsewhere,” he said. He went on to add, “the results are not unexpected. Not only are the components of an e-cig aerosol expected to be of low toxicity, based on a large number of analytical studies, but this research broadly agrees with a previous study.”

My son smoked and died at the age of 58. My sister has smoked since she was 16 and has been drinking for half her life and has just recently started coughing, liver and kidney problems at the age of 83. It's a gamble, but sooner or later it will get you. I tried cigarettes when I was around 14 and thought they were nasty, never tried again.

The more people stop smoking or switch to vaping the better, I had a heart attack at 38 because of it (5 weeks after i'd given up), I just wish vaping would of been around then as I'd of moved off tobacco much sooner.

I haven't had one yet but most of my family are long gone. Back in the 1960s "Everybody" smoked it seemed and on my father's side as well as on my mothers those who saw heart attacks like a cousin found DOA in his living room recliner were smokers! Between an older sibling and myself we were able to get my own father to quit back when the first warnings were being made public during the early 70s. He passed away suddenly from a stroke while on the highway.

The one thing to know it that it isn't nicotine which is the cause there. It's the tons of chemicals found in tobacco smoke that prove to be toxic over the long term exposure. The tar in tobacco smoke as well as Cadmium. low levels of Arsenic! a deadly toxin, and 68+ known carcinogens are certainly a good reason to quit! Vaping allows an alternative and presently under heavy fire by those who would rather spread misinformation about ecigs!

Here I am now 50yrs. an allergy sufferer who tried the pills which didn't work! from Big Pharma when allergy specialist prescribed Seldane which was later taken off of the market! I wonder why? It had side effects perhaps? And why spend $30 a week on pills when I was already spending the same amount per carton where back in the 1977-78 time frame found menthol smoke was much more effective while I had always hated the smell while growing up! A neighbor's kid had handed me one through a window when I was only 9yrs. old and instantly gagged! He had the habit of sneaking them out of his own mother's packs when left laying around apparently.

About 14-15yrs. back I would on occasion see the term Smokeless Cigarette or Electronic Cigarette right about the time later learned that a Chinese manufacturer was apparently gearing up for the first to go on the market after researching Herbert Gilbert's work from the 60s! He had the first to come up with a smoke free nicotine delivery method based on using PG from watching how Asthmatic inhalers worked.

PG had been already been in use for a good decade since the 50s and he ended agreeing with the Big Ts that it was too soon to go on the market! The concept for an alternative has been there but only the 21st century would see actual progress being made! And you will be interested in knowing a new documentary about vaping vs the failed products the Pharmaceutical industry promotes called "A Billion Lives" referring to how a billion lives are expected to be lost in this century from smoking related diseases is soon to be released to the cinemas! Eventually they plan to see that released on dvd some month later.

The producer and crew are now having live appearances as well as expecting the first film review before that one is released. The documentary will be exposing how Big $$$ has influenced policy makers over the decades in their favor simply to bolster profit margins and now bashes vaping being a threat to the profits on things that don't work to begin with and now you are seeing more warnings on each new prescription med coming out "if you have suicidal thoughts contact your doctor..." as if none of these new pills are fully tested before they come out? The documentaty however will stay primarily focused on the actual benefits as well as drastically lowered health risks for those who make the switch!

You would be surprised to learn just how much sugar and salt you eat without even having deserts! A good deal of the processed you buy in a grocery store are loaded with sodium and sugars to get people attracted to the tastes. That included packages of sliced meats being loaded with sugar as well as sodium levels in low sodium? and Supposedly No Sodium baked goods? Salt is still used for baking!

One thing you can glad you never did was taste a tobacco product while traditionally pipe smoking and cigars where you don't fully inhale the smoke were always more acceptable for the older generations that is. Since then however the health food craze of the late 70s and subsequent facts emerging about how corporations are concealing tricks they use are making people rethink things over!

Well yeah and then if I add that up with everything else I devour, I'm probably way over the calories I should have.

Oh well my father smokes a lot but he doesn't buy them he rolls the tobacco by hand with the thin paper and well I actually think it's a nice smell to it.

I've never understood nor seen the logic of this health food revelation going on right now, I guess I see the appeal but

Well that's the thing the health food craze turned out to be another marketing strategy in the long run to compete with the junk food market! Likewise I have been keeping an eye on the vaping market to see if that starts leaning towards the vapers science vs corporate science when noticing the pricing factors where some places are keeping older gear marked up to full MSRP while some places will see the same marked down to only $10!

Much like the pc hardware trends saw a fast turnover of newer more powerful hardwares, faster cpus, more capacity between larger drives and maximum memory on boards you now see an influx of higher wattage gear not present only a couple years ago. With one of the first e-pipes for example you saw mechanical mod type Smoktech Guardian and then a 15w Guardian II model now being replaced by a 75w Guardian 3 version with sub ohm capability. I use that for an example since I have the first two already as well as several batteries and box mods with the latest now on pre-order status.

Another thing to mention is seeing first hand the effects when dropping smoke entirely for vaping and getting your taste buds back as well as an appetite. Some may find they will tend to snack more if not see larger meals! Food tastes much better and some may end up seeing the cravings turn to foods

For anyone interested in finding out more about the new documentary on vaping the web site for A Billion Lives can be looked over at: A Billion Lives | Documentary film about Government Failure, Big Business & the Vaping Revolution

The more people stop smoking or switch to vaping the better, I had a heart attack at 38 because of it (5 weeks after i'd given up), I just wish vaping would of been around then as I'd of moved off tobacco much sooner.

Here's one thing coming soon I think you won't want to miss namely a new documentary that surmisses nearly One Billion lives will be lost during this century due to smoking related diseases! The preview for this one coming out in June for so long before eventually making it to dvd is presently being reviews at film festivals in various locations. https://vimeo.com/159714054

This clip has been on YouTube for some time now since it was first announced as being in the works a year ago. a billion lives movie - Bing video

Turn on the Lights! Some media is now stepping up to the plate! :D The media is now starting to take a real look at vaping and no longer seeing the antifreeze found in ecigs crapola stories!

Vaping, what was once thought of as just a passing trend years ago, has now turned into a supportive group, filled with community members encouraging others to quit the dirty habit of smoking.

The fairly new alternative to smoking cigarettes is no stranger to bad press, but we can't blame those who want to be overly cautious when the popularity of vaping is growing faster than the amount of research we have about it.

For years smoking cigarettes was socially acceptable and considered a healthy thing to do. Fast forward a few decades and we learned the hard way about the dangers and diseases smoking causes.
That was from one West Virginia local tv station's news segment. WDTV.COM 5 News: Stop Smoking, Start Vaping?

Now for the latest blog including news about the new documentary here's something every vaper will want to know!

E-cigarettes: Health issues improve for vapers in long term study

Long term effects of e-cigarette show positive results, reduced health problems

The study of long term effects of e-cigarettes and the use of vaping products is gaining momentum for those who are concerned about their health. In a six month study conducted by Dr. R. Cranfield from March to August of 2015, his research showed a 96% reduction in adverse health problems by users of three or more years. Conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure and asthma improved by 61.8% of those diagnosed with those health issues while they smoked. There were only 10 users who had never smoked in the study, and none reported any adverse health events before or after use.

Success with vaping products

Cranfield explains that using e-cigarette products to quit smoking show a minimum of 52% success rate at three or more years, where over-the-counter stop smoking products are at a seven to eight percent success rate at six months. That equals "7 to 8 times greater" success with e-cigarettes. He went on to say one participant had "onset of diabetes" and one reported a respiratory issue. In his conclusion he stated more research should be done to determine risks, if any, of these products. He also noted the health effects of vaping products were "pronounced and very positive" with the reduced or resolutions of long term health issues reported by the users.

Public Health Responsibility

Users of e-cigarettes around the world are still being met with extreme resistance and denial by most health groups and politicians. The inability to determine less harm from the effects of vaping products by alleged "experts" has been staggering. Instead of recognizing what e-cigarette users are saying, they are being met with proposals of regulation and vehement opposition. In this act of defiance, they are creating an illusion to generate revenue in the form of taxes and directly or indirectly are supporting tobacco use. The standard claim used by many public health and politicians alike is "we don't know enough" about the long term health issues associate with e-cigarette use. Now they have a reference point with Cranfield's study.

A documentary film

There is a documentary film called "A Billion Lives" about e-cigarettes, vaping and the consumer revolution they have created. This film will explain how health officials and politicians are concealing and ignoring facts, creating false statements to the public and what effect those actions have on the world to reduce tobacco use. The film will premiere May 11 at the Doc Edge international documentary film festival in New Zealand.

Upon review of the study when requesting how to find it if it was published in any form I suddenly recalled remembering hearing about it but didn't have the minimum of three years or more of vaping experience in order to participate. The study is a long term assessment on the effects on health if any to be found and the 15 page study report is available for download in PDF format.
