Hello everyone, first time poster here. Here's what I want to do: I probably type my email address 50 times a day (kind of long address) to log in to email, online shopping log in, forums, etc. Is there any way to simply click in the box where it wants my email address and do a right click (or something quick like that) and be able to create a selection list with email addresses or login names and I simlply just click on it to fill in the email address/login field?

It doesn't have to be exactly that method, I'm just looking for some way to keep my email address on a permanant clipboard so I can just select it or do a keyboard shortcut to fill in email address field

Anyone have any ideas? Seems like a fairly simple request so I have to believe there is someway to do this. BTW - this is my first day on Win7 and I'm diggin it. Thanks.

Norton Internet Security 2011 can do this securely as well. You would need to type one password for each site where the info is needed. However it is not for simply email addies, it's usernames and pwds.

How to safely log in

For many, many years, I used Roboform to do all of my logins. It will navigate to a website, enter my username and password and click ok. I just sit here and watch it happen! Recently, I have been using Lastpass. It does the same thing. Both are encrypted and can be secured with one master password. If you are interested, I would suggest that you google one of both and investigate. There is a cost to Roboform and Lastpass is free. I think either of these will do what you want.

Thanks for the suggestions, I downloaded Lastpass and that looks just what I've been looking for - wish I would have asked about it sooner. Thanks again.

...create a selection list with email addresses or login names and I simlply just click on it to fill in the email address/login field?...
IE does that by default when it asks you if you want to "remember". See Tools/Internet Options/Content/Auto Complete/Settings to make sure it's set to do this. The only problem is that sometimes you may say "no", not being sure if you typed the correct login data or you said "yes" for incorrect data. After that you've lost the chance to change the behavior to what you want. To correct that you need to erase the incorrect or incomplete data associated with those websites. This can be done with a third party program: IE PassView - Password Manager Program for Internet Explorer .

Roncerr is correct that most browsers will offer to save your login info. I am just hesitant to let my browser do that. I don't know where the info is stored and how secure it is. With Roboform and Lastpass you can encrypt the information which gives another layer of security.

Being an occasional klutz, this happens to me fairly often, and then I'm frustrated with no way to fix the problem. Thanks roncerr! I need this software! Rep +

It's stored in the registry on your PC not on the internet (IEPassView will say what type of storage is used). But you won't be able to find it with regedit since it's encrypted. You need IEPassView to view it. Of course, if someone steals your computer they can get to your login sites as easily as you can if all the login data is saved by IE. And if they want to read the data they can install IEPassView themselves since they have posession of your PC.
