As the title says. After installing 8.1 on a new partition (same disk) it replaces Windows 7 boot loader and configuration.
In order to fix it i have to wipe the partition, wipe all the entries in bcdedit except the memory test and then let startup recovery fix win 7 boot.

- Make a VHD and install it on that, but im thinking it will still overwrite the boot info.
- If I backed up the current boot config is there a way to add a generic boot entry for win 8.1?
