Any where to get an ISO for Windows 7?

I went to the Microsoft ISO download page and they require a product key. I do have a product key, but I get a message that it's an OEM and I need to contact my seller. It's an old PC, no one to contact. Any where to get the ISO?

You can use any ms iso file. They all contain all the editions.

For example:

The so called Ultimate iso x86 (32 bit) contains starter, home basic, home premium, professional and ultimate.

The so called Ultimate iso x64 (64 bit) contains home basic, home premium, professional and ultimate.

The iso files called "professional" also contain all editions - so do the iso files called "home premium", or Home basic"


There is a little file in the sources folder of the iso called ei.cfg. That tells windows setup which edition to offer.

Just remove the ei.cfg file, or toggle it off by pointing the eicfg-remover at the iso file. View attachment eicfg_removal_utility.zip

It will then offer all the editions - obviously select the edition you have a license for.

Dism++ can be used to backup the activation and 3rd party drivers from the currently installed system.

Then clean install from your installation media.

Then use dism++ to restore activation and drivers.

Then run simplix updatepack to do the updates - it will reboot and clean up as necessary.

I do not have Windows 7 currently installed because I upgraded to Windows 10, but now I need to downgrade to install some BIOS update

Did you ever watch the TV show, "The X Files"?

On every show, the narrator says, "The truth is out there!".

The truth is, that if you don't like the download site that you've already tried, then go find another.

There really is more than just ONE, you know?

PS: I'm currently using the Win-7 that I downloaded yesterday. I have it all set up the way I want it, on a spare HD, and it's working great. I did have to break out my Motherboard Drivers Disk and load all the appropriate drivers. That's the only drawback to installing Win-7....it doesn't have a full package of hardware drivers, like Win-8.1 and Win-10 do.

You can get an ISO from getintopc.com or dl.malwat.ch. Or you can download it directly from Microsoft by entering a Win7 Product Key or using Windows ISO Downloader.

If you do not have a retail win7 key you cannot download directly from Microsoft!
Clean Download: I researched and scanned ISOs with several scanners from Get into PC Windows 7 Professional x32 & x64
If you search with say Google for GetIntoPC be careful of the website address. There are copycats that have an additional letter in the http.www address, and yes, it directs you to bogus infected programs.

Simple to use, you click eicfg_remover.exe, select your Win7iso and click open. Done.
Your 25 Character key will only work on the version you have the key for.
