Anyone else had error connecting to Windows Error Reporting Service?

Beginning March 31, 2022, none of my problem reports have made it to the Windows Reporting Service. They appear in the Review problem reports control panel as Status, Not Reported. I am running Widows 7 SP1.

I opened services.msc and found the service stopped and start up manual. I started it. None of the reports got sent.

I tried sfc, and everything was OK.

A simple explanation would be that Microsoft turned off Windows 7 error reporting. However, I could find nothing to that effect. It wouldn't surprise me, but why now with no notice? Up until now, it was taking my reports and I was sending them to them.

I wondered if I should disable the service.

Has anyone else observed this?

Let me tell you a little something about Windows error reporting. Ever since I first saw this crap (yes, crap) in XP I never once submitted my error because I had a funny felling it might say more about MY computer than I wanted and, well, ever since I was in my twenties using XP I just knew better. I just knew deep down I shouldn't contribute jack to Windows with errors on MY computer at all. Besides, there should be enough talent, and testers already (which I hear isn't so any longer like it used to be). So years latter I read this article and had this reaction:
