Anyone here is using ESET antivirus?

How do you rate ESET? Is this OK for security?

I've used ESET for as long as I can remember ( no comments from the peanut gallery ... ) and it has always served me well... that being said, there are other products that are equally as good ... Keep in mind that an anti-virus is only one component of a good security policy. Using a layered approach for security ( a good anti-virus, malware scanner, updated OS, and regular imaging of your system drive) and a good measure of common sense will keep you out of trouble 99% of the time...

+1. Also turn your Windows Firewall (or other brand) to ON.

Eset Smart Security 4 here,also have Prevx 3.0 for detection of malware, another item you can use as a precautionary measure is sandboxie or something of the sort. I would rather run betas,freeware/open source or unfamiliar programs through sandboxie to make sure that no unwanted changes are made to my system.

ESET NOD32 v4 AV + Malwarebytes (paid subscription for realtime protection) here. Works just fine.

I rate Eset 8.5/10. It has a low footprint that doesnt hog resources on your PC with with a fast scanning. Detection of eset is ok, it could be better but their heuristic is very good.

I see you running 32bit, if you choose to run eset, i recommend you running it alongside sandboxie or defensewall.

I've used ESET NOD32 Antivirus since :huh: 3 ~ 4 years ago... it's great, i've never had any "leaks" of any kind, i do have Malwarebytes (free version) and i've had zero problems so far...

I always say to my clients (i work as a part-time PC Tech) that the most dangerous virus is the one that's sitting in front of the Monitor, clicking and typing... of course, i don't mean to be a douche with my clients, i just try to open their eyes...
