Anyone know a good file sync/archiving program? PC/usb

So, as a college student I find myself with an assload of school work (mostly MS word docs and C++ source files) mixed on both my thumb drive and home computer and am always going back and forth between school and home computers.

So im looking for a program that can sync files between my home computer and thumb drive (would be nice if it was portable and could store it on my usb drive for use on other computers) and preferable have an archiving feature, so I can still go back and look at older versions of my files as needed (EX I have version 1 on my home comp. and ver. 2 on my usb and I dont want version 1 deleted)

You might want to take a look at the Microsoft Sync Toy, I use it for exactly the same sort of thing (work not school). It works great, and is free...

Sync Toy as others have said.

robocopy: Which is a command line tool that Windows comes with to back up your stuff and you can add a switch to mirror on the destination drive as well.
C:\windows\system32\robocopy C:\datafolder E:\backups\datafolder /MIR /E

The great thing with tools like robocopy is they only copy the things which have changed.. Or delete the files which are no longer on the source if you use /MIR. Therefore, the first copy takes the longest...but subsequent backups are usually completed in mere seconds.

Karen's File Replicator: I've used this in the past as well. It's very similar to robocopy, but has a GUI.
