I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Are there any working/compatible programs which would allow me to "record" audio from the internet as an MP3 or WAV file?

My soundcard is RealTek on an eVGA 780i motherboard.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

thats a pretty interesting question
it depends though
pretty much you have to enable stereo mix
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/20595-what-u-hear-recording-enable.html
then use any recording app (windows includes one called sound recorder or you can try windows movie maker (havent checked the new one but the old vista could record audio shouldnt be a problem) to record audio
