APC UPS and included PowerChute software

I have just bought another APC BR1500G to power my stuff. I have multiple computers/monitors in my "office" that I wanted to connect. A little overkill but what ever.

When I hooked up my first UPS I never installed the PowerChute software. I don't think I really need it. Does anybody use it? If I understand correctly, it saves files and shuts down your computer if you're not around and the power goes out. Is there better software out there?

I've always used the UPS manufacturers application. More features than the built in Windows apps.

I've used APC apps and I now have a Cyberpower UPS and using the Cyberpower app on Win 10.

I also have a Cyberpower UPS and use the app that comes with it on a Win 7 machine. I have it set to hibernate the computer and shut down the monitors I have powered by it after five minutes into an outage. I don't know about APC's PowerChute but Cyberpower also has a little desktop gadget that can tell what the voltage in, voltage out, or total wattage is in addition to whether it is running on AC or battery, when the battery is charging, and if the UPS is overloaded or not. I'm running three instances of the gadget so I can constantly monitor in and out voltage and total wattage being used.
