Solved APPCRASH: Event ID 41 on new ASUS K55VD.

It's my first post so don't mind the foolish error's if I made any.
.
3 Days before I purchased new ASUS K55VD - SX314D (Still Under Warranty for Hardware only)

Technical Specifications
Processor : Intel Core i3-2350M Processor
RAM : 4GB DDR3
HDD : 500 GB SATA
Video RAM : 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE 610M
OS : DOS

I inserted the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit which I had used earlier for other PC's of mine too, did two primary partitions of the 500GB one of 400GB and other of remaining space and chose the smaller for installation.
After installation firstly I made 4 Logical partitions of that 400Gb each of 100Gb and then I installed the drivers from the DVD bundled with Notebook.

After that I started copying data from external HDD into the Netbook as I was excited a lot to see the USB 3.0 performance but the windows explorer started crashing with the error message saying:

APPCRASH
Event ID 41
Fault Module: USER32.dll
Locale ID : 1033 etc. :sarc:

I opened the event viewer and found that there is some Kernel Power issue behind it. After that all the windows based programs started crashing (i.e Gadgets, Image Viewer etc). :huh:

To eliminate the problem I tried:
.
1. Clean install again with same disk.
2. Clean install again with Home Premium 64 Bit twice.
3. Upgradation to Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit from Home Premium.
4. Switching DEP after all the installations.
.
I am tired of finding the exact fault which I presume now is the hardware issue.
Like always explored many threads in forum but din't found anything which can solve my problem so I am finally posting it.
.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Mayank, try a few more things.

• Disable hibernate: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/819-hibernate-enable-disable.html
• Check the power supply ... from the external source, say charger, is connected properly.
• Install Service Pack 1.

Let us know the results.

Tried them all. Issue wasn't resolved. Now the lappy belongs to the service center and they termed it a hardware problem.
.
Anyhow thanks for the suggestions.

I do have another problem with my ASUS N10-J 32 Bit - Ultimate, It shuts down when put to sleep, tried few steps in various relevant posts in forum but didn't helped.
.
Should I start a new thread for it?

Issue was due to bad HDD. It's replaced now and working flawlessly.

I had the same problem of APPCRASH USER32.DLL with ASUS K55VD. ASUS changed HDD but no positive result. They replaced unit with another new one but that came up with same issue. I thought that the problem is with that specific model. After a long troubleshooting final conclusion came like this laptop is not compatible with Windows 7 64 bit ULTIMATE edition so returned it back. Now I'm happy with new Lenovo!
