My computer isn't letting me drag the Take_Ownership to my desktop. I left it in my downloads area and then I dragged the CBS text file into the Take_Ownership and it said Copy. Then I let go... Will that work?

VistaKing has asked me to take a look at your CBS log, but the attachment you uploaded is empty. Can you copy the CBS log to your Desktop, then zip it up please?

I've been trying to get the CBS logs all last night but it kept saying Access Denied.
I've tried taking ownership too, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.
I was having problems trying to get things to my desktop but I finally got the Take Ownership there.
I went back into my CBS logs and tried to Merge it, and there was no merge option. Therefore I followed this step: If you do not see a Merge option when you right click on the REG file, then you will need to check in Default Programs to set the reg file extension to have it's Current Default program set as Registry Editor (C:\Windows\regedit.exe). Afterwards, try merging the REG file again.
Am I doing that right?

How do I send the CBS log if it's still saying access denied?
I've tried taking ownership also, but I'm having trouble with this part: Default Programs to set the reg file extension to have it's Current Default program set as Registry Editor (C:\Windows\regedit.exe). Afterwards, try merging the REG file again.

The permissions only applies to files within the CBS folder and as an administrator, you have full read access to those files so you've done something wrong if you have access denied errors
Export CBS folder
Click the Start button
then click Computer.
Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
Find and double click on the Logs folder.
Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
Attach CBS.zip to your next post please.
