Windows update indicates the April 2017 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework (kb 4014981) is needed.
Does this include telemetry? Is there a security only update available for this?

Thanks!

Thanks for both replies, but neither answered my question.

I found one security only update kb4015546, but it did not seem to patch all versions.

Question you posted.

Does this include telemetry? Is there a security only update available for this?

I recommended going here.

April 2017 Security Updates for Windows Release Notes - Windows 7 Help Forums

Security updates. As far as I know that is the only information available at this time.

Whether Microsoft has put telemetry in that KB is not known at this time by me.

As far as I know you have all the information that I have from here.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4014981/security-and-quality-rollup-for-the-net-framework-3-5-1-4-5-2-4-6-4-6-

Summary
This update resolves a vulnerability in the Microsoft .NET Framework that could allow remote code execution when the .NET Framework fails to properly validate input before loading libraries. An attacker who successfully exploits this vulnerability could take control of an affected system. The attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights. To learn more about this vulnerability, see Microsoft Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures CVE-2017-0160.

That is the best answer I can give.

Have a nice day

Yes, it does seem there is no other info available for now. I had read the articles you mentioned, and what Google found.

Thanks for your reply. You have a nice day also.
