Are my partitions ok?

Above is a pic of my partitions.
The two partitions in the middle are Ubuntu. [Ones without a label]
I just installed Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 7.

I have a few issues/questions:

1.Does the order of the partitions matter ? When I try to think about it wouldn't it be better if C and D were next to eachother ?
32. Is it ok to have two primary partitions [on this one hard drive] ? If someone can explain what's the difference?
3. I wish to extend one of the Windows partitions [C or D] with the 100MB unallocated space, but when I right click the 'Extend' is greyed out, cant click it. How can I get it done?

You can`t combine the 101 MB with C, they are on opposite sides of the hard drive.

You can`t use Disk Management to extend a partition (D) to the left. You`ll have to use Partition Wizard.

Honestly, your drive is all wrong, C should be all the way on the left, then D.

There`s nothing wrong with having 4 Primaries, just don`t try to make any more.

Partition Wizard bootable disk is an excellent tool. Download it and burn it to a disk, then boot from it.

You can certainly add that 101 mb to D with Partition Wizard.

I'm not sure how alarmed I would be with the C drive showing to the far right and frankly don't know if Partition Wizard can do anything about that. Windows Disk Management is just a visual representation of your hard drive and can't be taken too literally.

You can also add the 101mb to C as shown in How to extend partition easily with Partition Wizard - video help.

We could also show you how to resize D from the left to make enough space to copy C in front of D, then delete the old C and slide all the other partitions over to the right. But this would likely require repairs to start C again.

So I'd wait to reinstall in order to put C in the more desirable space on the left hand side of the drive closer to the disk reader.

When you're ready to do that let us know and we will give you the steps.

I cannot see how partition wizard would allow you to add the 101MB partition to C. It's easy to extend D to incorporate the 101MB partition.
A problem with the OS being at the end is that it is probably on the inner tracks of the HDD which are the slower tracks. I'd move it to the left. The most straightforward way is to do a clean install. Alternatively, you could use Macrium Reflect to image your partitions, then reimage C to the left. This could be a bit involved if you aren't comfortable with Macrium Reflect.

The new Partition Wizard Extend function allows you to borrow or extend into any unused space on the same disk whether it is adjacent or not, Logical or Primary. A very cool tool.

If you wish to apply a Macrium image to the front of the drive, PW can also resize D from the left to make space for it: Partition Wizard Resize Partition - Video Help.

Mark the old Win7 inactive and run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times if necessary to boot the new image, then you can delete the old OS and use PW Resize function to grab and slide each Linux partition and D intact over to the right into the old Win7 space, extend new C to the right using PW Extend or Disk Mgmt Extend.

To do this you'd want the latest version of the Partition Wizard CD ISO burned to CD with Windows Image Burner, not the older version 4.2 which was linked earlier and is only needed to still convert Dynamic to Basic for free since that is now a paid feature.

Oh well, I decided to start clean and just save all my data to an external hdd and repartition my harddisk completely.
I'm sure your advice will come in handy sometime though. thanks ;]
