Hi, I'm upgrading my PC and I need help to see if these specs are compatible, any help would be appreciated :) The specs below are what the upgrade will be when its all installed and complete, the ones in bold are the upgraded parts.

Antec 900 Case
3 old hard drives, 2 x 500GB and 1 x 1TB
OCZ 120GB Vertex 3 SSD 2.5" SATA-III 6Gb/s
Asus P8z68-V Pro Z68 Socket 1155 8 Channel HD Audio ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4GHz Socket 1155 8MB Cache Retail

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 1.5V Non-ECC Unbuffered
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 Heatpipe CPU Cooler

Asus GTX 560 1GB
OCZ Stealth XStream 600W PSU

Would all of this be compatible? I like to get a second opinion on things like this. A main concerns for me would be the power usage, would it be enough?

Thanks

I don't see anything there that jumps out at me as being incompatible.

Did you pick that RAM after looking at the qualified RAM list at Asus for that motherboard? The RAM doesn't have to be from that list, but you might check. The voltage of 1.5 is what you want, along with non-ECC and unbuffered.

I'd try to steer you away from OCZ generally, for both SSD and PSU, but I'm not going to pound the table about it. I'd lean toward Crucial, Samsung, or Intel for the SSD and Seasonic for the PSU.

600 watts is more than enough.

Thanks for the reply, e-buyer came up as the recommended RAM for the board and I heard good things about it. Do you recommend any decent RAM to get for this mobo?

Thanks

No. None in particular.

The Sandy Bridge processors and motherboards seem to work well with a variety of RAM brands. Corsair is good stuff. You just need to confirm you have the right Corsair and I don't see anything in the specs you posted that say "not compatible".

I normally use Crucial RAM, but that's only because I can go to the Crucial website and enter my motherboard model--the Crucial configurator then spits out a guaranteed-compatible RAM choice.

That setup will use probably under 150 watts, plus whatever the graphics card uses.

I found the RAM on the Asus website, downloaded the pdf of supported memory and
CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 was on there :)
