Hey guys,

I am definitely sure that Assassin's Creed is my BSODs. I read somewhere else on this site to update drivers. My Wireless 360 controller drivers are up to date as are my Nvidia GeForce GT 240 graphics card. Hopefully these dmp files can help someone figure out what is wrong with my computer.

Any help would be extremely useful and I would feel very appreciative.

Hi,
It seems you have driver issues especially your Asus driver.
Code:
ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 18:30:36 2005
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download.
Select your motherboard's model, scroll down to Utilities category and find ATK0110 driver (could be part of PCProbe and AISuite.)
Also remove Daemon/Alcohol Software then remove the sptd driver with this tools:
DuplexSecure - Downloads

These drivers need to be updated:
Code:
RTL8187.sys Thu Jun 25 23:22:49 2009 → [URL="http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=7&PFid=10&Level=3&Conn=2"]Realtek networking driver[/URL]

@wish thanks for such a quick reply. The imbedded links were a beautiful touch. Thanks so much. Will and try and update more of my drivers. I am at square one since (I just reformatted into a fresh OS from previous BSODs I had) and that is why I have been using Daemon tools. If you want to help me figure out why that OS crashed just tell me if you are up for the challenge I have about 20+ dmp files for that nightmare.

I will re-post with my results soon.

@SmurofNeves I do create backups of my already owned games and in no way promote pirating ;)
But yes I am using Daemon, I have a TB HD and its easier than re-burning them onto discs. If there is some other alternative I am definitely open for suggestions because I always feared that DTLite would mess with my computer (making it believe hardware is there when it is not immediate way to get some familiar BSODs)

Thanks for all the responses I just found this site and I love it!!!

So, have some BSOD I assume it is from remnants of Daemon tools, but I did remove it and have been using magic iso.

This time it is happening when I am playing through Portal 2 (great game). Could this be a SPTD issue?

dmps attached.

Yes I still see sptd is on your system.
Have you uninstall it with the tools that I gave before?
DuplexSecure - Downloads (choose uninstall not install)

Then one dump file, point to graphic driver error, so it's better to reinstall your VGA driver.
Use driversweeper to remove current driver then download and install a fresh copy.
Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Another dump point to Realtek NIC driver. Have you installed the latest update of that driver?

Also install SP1:
Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Then we'll see how it goes.

"Attention - Guru3D Driver Sweeper has been discontinued as such you will not find any download links here any longer."

Do you know anywhere else I can find Guru3D?

Also, I downloaded the SPTD .exe and when I tried to run it, it said that I did not have any SPTD on my computer (it did not give me the option to uninstall)

I checked my PC and It doesn't tell me which SP I have.

Guru3D has indeed discontinued it but Phyxion continues to support it :)

Yeah, yours seems more legit. I already downloaded it, but anyone who needs it use Phyxion.net and save yourself your heart skipping a beat (I thought I was going to get a virus).

Does anyone else trust Microsoft Security Essentials?

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good antivirus for basic protection :)

So this problem is confounding me. I checked my Nvidia drives and they are for 4.7.11 (pretty up to date) I downloaded the most recent anyway and installed. Still the same drivers. One of these crashes was definitely due to a Nvidia driver issue.

I am at a part in the game where a lot is going on, rooms are collapsing music is pounding and I'm chasing this little British robot. So I do feel as if this is a graphics card issue, but it is up to date. This card should be able to handle this game no problem.

The realtek wireless card is the same thing the drivers are up to date, but there are so many version out there on the internet.

Out of the two things that I was definitely sure were causing the problems I can't find an issue with the drivers or at least newer versions. Mine is Realtek RT8187 Wireless 802.11b/g 54 Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter according to my Device Manager. Driver date is 12/9/2009 ( a little old, but there are no straightforward answers for drivers out there). Realtek's website gives me this crappy program that tells me what is out of date and wants to charge me to download drivers that I know should be free. Funny thing is even that program is telling me that my RT8187 is up to date. Soooo I don't know.

Also SPTD is no where to be found by the executable file. Should I install it again then uninstall it to be sure?

What do I do about these drivers?
