I quit racing when the local hobby shop and indoor dirt track closed, that was also when I started putting more time and effort into PCs.

As it happens, the fellow that owned the hobby shop is still a good friend, we're scheduled to play Dead Island Riptide in about an hour. Those zombies won't kill themselves, you know.

i think we can make a leader board for fastest time on certain tracks

we could just post a SS of the laptime and the track. car choice, assists, and such are all up to you

Not a bad idea there Noober, I could set up a small leaderboard on this thread and just change it weekly to whatever track we are doing. I will choose the first track and car in the next day or so. Assists, well I don't suppose it matters too much, just use whatever you want.

Origin has a free racing game, need for speed world if you racers are interested.

Sounds fine to me. I think it's only fair to take turns choosing a track, there is only 3 of us with the game.
You can choose the first track if you want Noober.
I will try and put in a time tomorrow.

I tried it with my little controller, it was truly horrible. I'm going to have to wait for my wheel to arrive before I can do anything constructive.

I need to set a "dead zone" for the steering as the wheel doesn't always come back to the exact center, and there doesn't seem to be a way to set that up. The steering is very twitchy, just a tiny movement of the wheel would send the car across the track. On the other hand, the throttle and brake worked fine.

So, once I get my new wheel I should be in the running.

I will have to check later, but I didn't change anything, I just plugged in the controller, started the game and played. It should just be default. Is there not an option to set the controls back to default in the game then?
