Asus 1215N Fn key refusing to work

Sorry for starting another thread for such a widely discussed topic, but none of the previous suggestions have helped.
On my Asus 1215N, running Win 7, my function keys do not work. I can brighten and dim the screen (Fn+F5/F6), but nothing else.

The Fn keys were fully operational before I reinstalled Win 7. I have installed and uninstalled drivers from the Asus site (KB Filter), many of them, as well as other ATK drivers from various sites. At the moment I have ATKPackage_Win7_8_VER100027 installed. I have also tried the "C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ATK Package\ATK Hotkey\HControl.exe" trick at every stage of my installments. At last, I get some response; it allows me to click HControl, then asks me if I want to allow this to change my hard drive, I click "yes", and nothing more happens. The magical fix does not work for me.

I have no more ideas.

How do I bring life into my Fn keys again?

AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
NB Users of Kaspersky AV may have to disable the app while using ADW because it does not like it !!

Thanks ICIT2LOL for the reply and suggestions. None of them brought life back into the rest of my Fn keys. As before, the sleep, wifi, and two brightness keys are functional. Namely I would like to re-enliven my volume keys, alas I have so far failed to do so.

Any other suggestions to bring life back into my function keys?

Try reinstalling KB Filter Driver (under ATK section in downloads from ASUS website)

KBFilter V1.0.0.3 for Windows 7.
(including HotkeyService 1.37)

Reboot.
