Solved Asus 22" Monitor wont display 1680x1050

Hi All - just joined.

I just removed a NVIDIA GTX 260 and all software and now I cannot get my screen display correct using the blue VGA connector (removed the DVI as my computer does not support one).

Where do I get an driver to support my Asus 22" monitor?

Microsoft display does not offer this resolution. Been on ASUS site and had a look through several pages here, cant find a driver.

It's not the monitor its a graphics driver issue. You need to go your motherboard manufacturers website and download the correct video or chip-set driver. Even then it might not support that resolution.

AN: Thanks for that. Downloaded the graphics driver from AMD it needed Net4 from MS after about an hour doing this AMD comes up says no support for this card set.

Bloody frustrating when all I want is to use my monitor correctly.

You must have downloaded the wrong driver. What does it have for onboard graphics?

AN: Thank you for all your help. Your links would have resolved my problem BUT I turned on the computer this morning and windows had downloaded nvidia and on restart all was fine.

This problem is fixed.

Ah, OK, um, if it has NVidia graphics, why were you trying to install AMD graphics drivers?
