I have a 27 inch all in one Asus, just one year old. A few months ago when it would go into sleep mode, the display would go to colored vertical lines. I would reboot and the computer would restart normally. Annoying, but not a big deal. We turned off the energy saver mode, so that we would avoid the problem. Now, however, at night sometime between 12am and 6am the computer switches over to the vertical lines. Also, it will not come back after I reboot. I just keep getting the lines. Now randomly after trying to reboot a MILLION times, it will just decide to work.

Other details that may or may not be factors:

One time it told me something about too many programs running in 16 bit color (or maybe it was another number)
Every time I am successful in rebooting the computer, some antivirus program that was preinstalled is flashing in my dock (I.e. that it is running)

Please help! I LOVE my computer and it works beautifully in all other aspects.

Cheers

Hi Loribischof,

Welcome to Seven forums.

If your system has a video out port then best would be connect it to a external monitor or TV and isolate the issue between LCD and Video card.

Also you should update the video card drivers of your system to to check if it helps in resolving this issue.

Kindly update your system specs here by following this.

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.
