asus x553m not shutting down

hello everyone,

i need help please asap, my asus x553m series laptop does not shut down nor restarts. evertime i press the power button i alwayp displazs "shutting down" , i cant open its bios either.

please help

tehcnically this is not a good thing to do; but have you tried doing a hard restart by holding down the power button? If you try that and that does not work; take the battery out and let it sit for about a minute or so; then put the battery back in. Doing that should reset it. Then try turning it back on and seeing if you can get into the bios and see whats going on from there. Give this a shot and see what happens.
