here is my story,
Have 2 monitors connected to my HTPC, 26'' LG and 42'' Sharp Aquos.
today the HDTV wouldnt show anything on it (it was still showing up in display properties as display 2) so i restored the computer to a point where everything was working, and now neither monitor shows anything on it.

halps pls!

Should also mention that before restoring the system I tried all manner of plugging in and unplugging monitors, updating drivers from the ATI website, extending and duplicating the displays, and praying for it to just work.

Also the card is an HD ATI All in Wonder, cannot check the exact model cause i have no way to see into my computer.

ps. during startup i can see everything loading on the small monitor, but as soon as windows loads both screens go into power saving mode.

Edit. undid the system restore in safe mode, and now the small monitor works again, still no dice on the big screen though.

when facing the front of your computer, u should be able to remove the left side panel on a desktop to see the graphics card without touching any of its internals except maybe a fan depending on your case and then simply read the lable facing out on the card to id it, if its a dell or hp etc under warrenty, THEN DO NOT DO THIS it will void your warranty. i have had a similar problem wih an older comp, the issue turned out to be the card nearing the end of its life an needing replacing
