ATI Catalyst Control Center Wont Appear...

I have a Samsung 26" Windows 7 installs @ 59hz everytime it (re)starts.

In CCC it says 1920x1200 @ 60hz
The desktop area is too big for the screen area too! I don't know if that is a monitor setting - I looked and can't suss it out.

Bottom line - alot of us (including me) have "Windows" reporting 59Hz, whereas CCC or some other 3rd party program reports 60Hz but suffer no issues.

OK, help me out here... According to your system specs you have an NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT 1GB? Is that correct? If not, what card do you have?

And you have problems with ATI's Catalyst Control Center not showing up?

In addition to that, you’re running build 7000 of Windows 7?

I want to install the ATI Catalyst Control Center because of my mainboard, not because of my graphics card.

Be aware that you can't use ATI Catalyst Control Center™ if you don't have an ATI card!!!

And I see you updated your system specs to reflect you have Windows 7 x64

Won't do you any good as there is nothing in the CCC to do with the motherboard, it only has settings relating to the video card. At best it might integrate ATI's RaidXpert (if used) into the CCC, but it isn't necessary as RadiXpert can be run as a stand alone program.

Hey Stormy, Isn't RaidXpert peculiar to AMD chipsets? - AMD 700 chipset series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. If so, check his system spec's; He can't even use CCC there.

You're right in that he can't use CCC, but if he is/was running RAID he can install and use RadiXpert. I played around with it some when I was running RAID, and for the most part on a stand alone system it isn't worth having.

Oh I did not know that ^^

I just wanted to install it because it was listed as driver on my mainboard page.
I've tried installing Raidxpert, installing worked, i logged in as admin but there were no options in the left bottom tab, just some raidxpert settings that had nothing to do with my hard drives

So you do understand that you don't need either of these proggrams (RaidXpert, Catalyst Control Center) with your current system specs, right?

yes I do, i did already did before but it was listed as driver so I was like yay more drivers more updates faster pc , or not
