Hi

My VGA is HIS ATI Radeon X1550. I use Microsoft WDDM Radeon X1300/X1550 Driver
My VGA supports OpenGL 2 but the driver defines it as 1.1 :(

Is there any better driver for my VGA ?

Thanks

Try one of those drivers here:
download from Guru3D.com

Where do you get the information from that it is 1.1?

Thanks
I's try Guru3D, But what is Guru ?

The Dyson game was very slow on new OS.then I used gpu caps viewer to determine the problem and I realized the version of OpenGL is incorrect !

openGL support is both hware (what does it support) and software ( the correct driver and correct opengl). You can get a more in depth report on opengl by downloading (free) opengl viewer. It will tell you what is supported and what you have.

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot
I downloaded OpenGL Extention Viewer.
It seems that a lot of extensions are disabled! What should I do ?

OK there is something definately wrong. I dont have experience with a "HIS" graphics card. I assume its an ATI generic clone right?

I've got an X1600 and AMD/AMD dropped support for that (and your card) starting with Catalyst 9.4.

I'm surprised your driver installation worked ... but then, I'm reminded back of days in Vista when the ATI driver would NOT install, even though it was supposed to work.

So maybe now, the opposite happens -- in installs flawlessly when it shouldn't. (You can tell I'm NOT a fan of AMD/ATI)

But the setup finished without any errors

Radeon X1550 is one of the legacy drivers and there is no more support for them. I have a simmilar problem with X1300. ATI Catalyst 9.3 Vista or earlier will give you working drivers. ATI Catalystâ„¢ Legacy Display Driver
After you download and Extract the file navigate to C:\ATI\Support\9-3_1_legacy_vista32-64_wdm (or some other folder that has been extracted) run Setup.exe in compatibility mode for Windows Vista SP2.
Hope this solves your problem!

I tried installing Version 9.3.1 .But it installed with this error:

Driver Install: the driver package does not specify a hardware identifier

I tried installing from Device Manager, But X1550 is not in the list of found drovers.I know 9.3.1 supports X1550.Does Windows 7 cannot see it? :sarc:
