For a long time (might have been since I got the PC, not sure) I've been having this problem. Basically, one in every so many (maybe 40?) Adobe Flash videos I view gives me a atikmpag.sys BSOD.
- Happens in maybe 1 out of 40 videos
- Independent of video, I can view the same video 30 times with 1 BSOD and no problems on the other 29 times
- Independent of browser - happens in IE, Opera, Firefox
- Happens ONLY on watching flash videos. Gaming, regular browsing, everything else does not produce this problem.
- Tried unchecking "Enable hardware acceleration" in the Flash settings, didn't help
- Tried reinstalling Flash, didn't help
- Updated GPU drivers, didn't help
- Only seems to happen at the START of the video, or when skipping to a different part. I can't remember it happening while I'm in the middle of watching a video.
- To reiterate, problem does not happen when watching offline videos in VLC or anything like that.
- Strangely enough I don't believe I've ever had this problem with Flash advertisements, Flash games or other Flash things.
- My GPU is an AMD Radeon HD6850 and I use Windows 7 x64.
