Attempts to install KB3003743 repeatedly fail

I have kept my PC (running Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit)) updated with all Windows updates, but KB3003743 will not install. The update error code is 80070643.

I have run SURT and sfc /scannow (no errors reported). I have been unable to upload a zip file containing all the files contained in the cbs folder: the \windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log file is 209MB, and there are two .cab files that are almost 6MB, making the zip file much too large to upload. But I attach a zip file containing all the files created today within the folder, other than the cbs.log file and the earlier large .cab file (CbsPersist_20150104154223.cab). I hope that this is sufficient.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll post a fix for these, but I don't think it's going to solve your problem in the short term.
The CBSPersist file you uploaded doesn't contain the SFC data we also need - but we can wait on that a while.

I've uploaded a file - ubtaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder ubtaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

I have downloaded the zip file, but it contains only 1 folder: "packages". Should I go ahead ignoring the manifests?

It's good to learn that CheckSUR is no longer reporting any issues, but I have run Windows Update again, only to find that it attempts to install KB3003743, but fails (with error code 80070643).
Do you have any further suggestions.

unfortunately the CBS data is missing (you posted the CheckSUR.log files instead)

Please try again with that - you'll need t copy the file to the desktop before compressing the copy, and then upload the compressed file.

I have had the same problem with KB3003743 and now my PC wont install any updates. I could not find the zip file in Noel's OneDrive?
