What is a good free app for ripping an audio CD to mp3/wav/ogg, an app that does not install crapware and cookies and such? I started to install some such app the other day but its license agreement it wanted me to agree to talked about how it installs cookies for advertising blah blah blah; unacceptable. For now, I have a virtualbox virtualized xubuntu linux running on my Windows 7 system so I can utilize opensource linux audio cd ripping software (for audio CDs i legally own but want the music on my portable media player), but I would much prefer a native Windows 7 app that meets the aforementioned criteria.

Audiograbber will rip to wav or mp3. I've used it for years (bought it when it was shareware). I've got other programs that will rip but I keep going back to Audiograbber.

Audiograbber, free CD ripper, mp3 encoder and audio recorder for Windows

Nice, thank you! I had previously installed EAC a few minutes before Audiograbber, EAC wanted my email to be able to access CD track names, etc. Audiograbber did not require any of that. Audiograbber had wanted to install some spyware during the install process (Funware or something like that, I have seen that spyware before in free apps) but I declined that and after installing audiograbber checked my browser and installed programs to be sure that Funware (anything but fun) was not installed, it was not).
