Audio Distortion / Video and game freezing

Hello, I have run into multiple problems lately that I haven't been able to solve. The first thing that has happened is sometimes my computer will just freeze for half a second. Usually when I am watching/streaming video or playing a game, but sometimes while just browsing as well.

Second, I am now getting audio distortion for half a second. Like the sound is being stretched out and distorted, this has only been happening for a few days.

Any help would be appreciated.
