Will re-type and send. Is there a place to delete a bad post?

I want to feed audio out of my TV using Voslink and terminate as a 3.5mm stereo plug on a camcorder mic in.
Is this possible? if so, what amount of attenuation is needed? Will the insertion of a specific in-line pad provide a clean signal?
Thanks. Note: I guess pasting text in a message is a no go.

For some reason your post was an image. I have decoded it and here's what it looks like:

If you lifted this from some other website forum then perhaps that website turns text into an image. I don't know. If you click the edit button in your post above you can delete it.

First, what is a Voslink? Second, a mic in is only monaural, not stereo. Depending on the type of feed you'll be using there may or may not be any attenuation needed. I'm not on the up and up on audio stuff, but if it's via RCA connectors I don't think attenuation would be in order since I don't think there's any amplification on that output. Same probably for optical. Now for 3.5 mm that may have amplification in the feed which will need attenuation. How much depends on the audio output source from the TV. It's best to have something that can trim it so that you can set the attenuation yourself and listen to the after affects. I'd start high and work my way down otherwise you could blow the frontend of the camcorder audio input I suppose. You'll want something like an adjustable in-line attenuation if the TV audio output is amplified. I'd go the RCA output instead as I don't think that signal is amplified at all. In fact, it may be lossless.
5 pin DIN may be lossless and not amplified as well.

What kind of camcorder is this? What type of project are you doing?

Thanks for your input. Some of what you say is not accurate. However, I believe I've found a solution using a digital to analog device. I appreciate the effort.

Some of what you say is not accurate.

And what would that be?

You didn't state this was a digital output.

You didn't delete your first post or at least edit it.

I still don't know what a Voslink.
