Hello Everyone,

Auto Snap Question
Is there any hotkey you can hold down to temporarily disable the Auto Snap feature when resizing a window?

Auto Snap Glitch Fix Question
Okay, say you have one window open and you auto snap it to the left side of you screen so it is taking up the left half your screen.
If you try to stretch the window down grabbing the window from the top, the bottom of that window breaks loose from where it butts up against the taskbar. The same thing happens if you try to stretch the window up from the bottom, the top breaks loose from the top of the screen.
On occasion this works correctly but most of the time it does not.

Before anyone mentions, I am aware that there are 3rd party snap programs. Hoping to find solutions within Windows itself.

Hey mike, I don't know of any hotkey to disable it temporarily but what you can do is disable it permanently and use hotkeys to snap your windows where you want them.

To re-enable the hotkeys for snap on the keyboard:
In the Ease of Access Center go to "Make the keyboard easier to use"
Then uncheck "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.

Then use hotkeys to snap when you want to.
Win+Up > Maximize
Win+Down > Restore / Minimize
Win+Left > Snap to left
Win+Right > Snap to right

I'm not sure on your second issue. Perhaps the reg file in the link above could possibly fix any issues you have but thats just a complete guess.

You could simply type sfc /scannow in cmd or powershell and see if there is anything wrong.

I am so used to just dragging the windows, I feel I would miss it.
I was really hoping there was some kind of hotkey to just temporary disable it.
The auto snap idea was a really good one, but it seems like it just lacks a couple of functions that would make it great.

As I mentioned I would prefer not to install a 3rd party application.
Well if anyways if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.
