Hi, I'm doing a backup as per norm to my backup internal drive.

System Image works fine, easy transfer works fine and both quick, but when I click on backup now, the progress bar in Windows Backup stops at 7% and won't continue any further.

I'm going t oleave this overnight to see if this will assist in any way, but this normally takes under 10 minutes.

I've been in event viewer but not being a system guy I really don't know what i'm looking at :( or should be looking for.

Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

I tried the backup function some time ago and had no buggy problems as such - could there be some disk you're asking it to back up it doesn't handle properly, or maybe some locked file (which it should skip or warn about, that would be a bug, or functional deficiency :))? Try removing stuff from the backup payload to see if it's some particular object hosing it.

I don't have any warnings come up, and now it's been stuck at 7% for over 15hours

I've cancelled the backup. I might try to a re-install of 7, I was toying with the idea of humouring myself and seeing how it performs on just one disk as opposed to a raid pair anyway :geek:

I too would try another newer build if you are curious. I would also kill any apps that are running when this runs.

My backup and restore control even worse. When I click on "backup Now" no response. "change setting' and 'schedule backup' don't have response either. I have to go different way to do backup function which is click restore then open restore program before that. window will pop up 'backup'. So I did repair install. problem still exit. No help.
