"Bank interleaving requested, but not enabled", but Windows boots fine

Hi guys. I changed the RAM on my system recently, as one of the old sticks was giving problems. It would fail to boot intermittently, and according to the LED light on my motherboard, it was supposed to be a memory issue. So I took out the old RAM and put in the new RAM in the other two slots, not the slots that the old RAM were in. Previously I was using 2 x 2GB, but now using 2 X 4GB.

Ever since that, I've been noticing this message at boot. It says "Bank interleaving requested, but not enabled". And after that it says clearing NVRAM, and Windows boots fine after that. Why is this message appearing, and are there any implications? I went into BIOS, and under Clear NVRAM, it's disabled, so is the Clearing nvram message even doing anything? Or does the option reset to disabled everytime it boots? Thanks guys.

P.S : Btw, I'm using another system, so the system specs in my profile are not accurate. The motherboard is BioStar Ta 790GX A3+, CPU is AMD Phenom II x4 620 2.6 GHz. I'm using Kingston DDR3 1333 RAM.

The relevant bios setting should be "bank interleaving" or just "interleaving" somewhere in the page about RAM settings.

Better Late Than Never

I was rebuilding my system last night (same line of mobo & CPU) and I came across the same error. I found the settings to correct it. You must turn on over clocking (either manual or overclocking profile). The setting can be found under Advanced>JumperFree Configuration>AI Overclocking. Once this setup is changed you will have a new menu in which "Memory Configuration" is an option. This is where you will find the "Bank Interleaving" (default should be auto), at this point I was still getting the error and also found that "Channel Interleaving" (same location) must also be enabled.

These settings corrected my issues. Hope this helps.
