When i m trying to install Batman : Arkham Asylum it gives the following error :
The version of this file is not compatible with version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.
i M using Windows 7 64-BiT ultimate.
i Have previously installed many games all have worked flawlessly, but i dont know for some reason this is not working.
I just installed it on mine n it worked perfectly fine (had a few other issues Magus will know ) but i didn't even have SP1 at the time of installation, although i guess you could try to update to SP1, also have you installed that setup on any other cpmputer to make sure the setup is okay?
But i have found on internet that only a few ppl {say about 1 out of 100} are facing this issue on other people system the game is working perfectly on Win 7 64-BiT.
i Dont know why is on my PC it is facing the problem.
Have you checked that your built in graphics is sufficient to run Arkham Asylum? It can run without PhysX (Nvidia only) but doesn't look as nice. It definitely runs on ATI hardware just not sure if it works on your HD4200.

Yes because I remember getting such errors with old installers like those in NFS 3 and Red Alert 1. These days I've observed them from fake files downloaded from dubious sources. There's a chance that it is a damaged DVD he is installing from but a CRC error should come instead. There is no way that error can come from a legit file.
