battery charging icon missing on laptop windows 7

Hi can anyone assist me on this weird issue. At first when i plug in ac adapter, the battery icon was not there. But i check on the notification area. The setting are correct. I try to swap a new ac adapter same outcome. I try to swap battery same outcome as well. I try to swap machine 1 battery to machine 2. Its is working. So after testing i swap back. Machine one battery able to see the icon. But after restarting of laptop the icon missing again. I have try both battery on machine. No issue at all. Can anyone advise me what going on?

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. Not sure if Machine # 1 or Machine # 2 is having the icon issue. Whichever machine isn't showing the icon ... try rebuilding the icon cache.

Did you check whether it is not hidden in the Customize box.

OK, got it. Try rebuilding the icon cache for machine # 1.

i try to disable and re-enable it. try uninstall as well with no outcome. try recreate windows profile the battery icon come back but when i restart the icon is not there. additional info, the lan connection went missing as well on the system try. when i go into this turn system icon on and off every icon is gray out except for clock. instead of On it became OFF. i try the option under this link doesn't solve as well.

i have log a hardware case to replace the motherboard. suspected could be a hardware issue base on my exp.

what do you think? do you have a better advice ?

last resort will be reimage.
