Battlefield 3 looks amazing

I have to admit these are some really fine looking visuals, love the particle effects with bits flying off the buildings, ohhhh can't wait better save up and upgrade my graphics card as I doubt a 5770 will handle it that well.

I'm sure it will but on lowest settings :/

I just posted on the Crysis 2 thread that I was not going to upgrade to a DX11 card but I had forgotten about this game... I guess I will start to think about an upgrade when this game gets closer to launch date, even though I expect a few bugs and such so I won't be buying the game until after I see some positive reviews and a couple of patches.

Think it is safe to say that it will be several months before a beta for BF3 comes out.

Beta predictions are saying September time for a BETA. And if you've bought MoH when it came out, you'll be getting a BETA key. Or sign upto fileplanet and subscribe to them. Chances are DICE will give them a load of BETA keys. They always do

Thanks God this game is not made by Ubisoft, otherwise, you'd be waiting a long, long time for that beta even though they bamboozle you into buying another flop of a game with the promise of the key to play the beta in the summertime... :huh:

DICE has always like getting a lot of people into the betas so they have more info from the end users. Lets keep our eyes open my guess is end of summer for word of betas.

These graphics look very comparable to Crysis 2. Except the lighting, Crysis 2 has always had the exceeding lighting effects.

We really don't know all the details yet.
Right now all we have seen are some squad video, nothing about the vehicles, or command options in game.

I hope that you are totally wrong but... something tells me that you will be on the ball. More so if we go by the last few FPS games.

And I am talking solely on the SP/Campaign side when I say this.

I wouldn't put to much stock into the videos. Don't get me wrong, they look Awesome but so do the girls on a Playboy magazine after they photoshop the crap out of them... some don't even look remotely similar to what they do in real life (make up added!)

you finish the sp campaign in a few days, then spend months (or years if bf2 is anything to go by) pwning n00bs online...

where's the linearity?

(ok some of the vietnam maps are pretty A-B-C linear, but even so, each game is different....

EA CEO, John Riccitiello spoke today at the Ad Age Digital Conference in New York and confirmed that Battlefield 3 will launch in November of this year. (thanks PlanetBattlefield) Additionally, Riccitiello stated they have a $100 million marketing budget for Battlefield 3.
