I just noticed something a tad odd about one of my Windows 7 machines.
The machine in question is our household server. It does not have a screen attached, and I have configured the Task Scheduler to run shutdown.exe /s every morning at 1:00 am, and I believe (too much of a pain to check) that I have defined something in the BIOS to boot the machine every day at 8:00 am.
I just noticed that in the directory C:\Boot there are files BCD and BCD.LOG that get updated every day. Some quick searching suggests that this file is created when an error occurs, but I have no idea why it is being created on my machine. Any ideas?
