Don't know. I have never used the one you listed.

The specs on the one you listed are a tad better but specs aren't
everything.
Just hang in there other will post.

when choosing a graphics card there is few other things you should consider:
- power supply ("6-pin PCI Express power connectors" will come from your power supply)
- case(some GPU's are longer/wider than the case you have)
- what other cards are connect to MOBO(some GPU's wilt take 2/3 slots covering PCI Express 1 /mini slots)

but the GPU is a-bit of high spec for your current MOBO (I suspect power supply is also a low end)

MOBO is micro-ATX how big is your case? you could buy a mid range gaming tower for $300 might be better upgrade? or different GPU

SAPPHIRE 100366-2L Radeon R7 260X 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card - Newegg.ca might be better for your current system

The connector spec is referring to taking power from the psu harness. Powerful gfx cards usually need a quality hi-spec branded psu, that has several 6 or 8 pin 12V connectors that plug into the gfx card. The card spec says 30A min on the 12V rail - a mobo can't supply that kind of power, hence the harness connectors. You prob need to upgrade your psu. I'm not an expert on gfx cards, but AFAIK pcie3 is backwards compatable with pcie2, so the card should be ok on the board - it's just a matter of amps and psu to consider.

That GPU is way overkill for your current rig, and will likely overtax your power supply. Unless you have a specific reason for needing that kind of power, like maybe you're going to use it in a new build, I would get something a little less power hungry.

If you have enough PCIe power connectors and enough Wattage in your PSU, then buy it, but your CPU and motherboard will be a bottleneck for it. I don't think you'll get the full performance that card is capable of.

Hello Reflex,

Nope. It doesn't matter what your CPU is. I prefer NIVIDIA GeForce over AMD as well.

Would this be the best choice due the bottleneck specs of the other gfu? -http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202059

If you have other suggestions let me know but I am going to order my GFU and 8GB Ripjaw Ram within the next day due to limited time.

Since you are planning on getting a new PSU, then you would just need to make sure that it has the number of PCI-E power connected required by the new graphics card.

You're mothorboard only has a PCI-E x16 2.0 slot. It'll work with the card you wanted above, but you would get better bandwidth for the graphics card if it had a PCI-E 3.0 slot.

yeah I was just going to mention moba compatibility with psu and recommendations, I heard its only a 1fps difference from a 2.0 16x to a 3.0 or little to no difference (not noticeable) and upgrading an AM3 I don't find too useful due too the little difference unlike AM3+. also am3 processors don't sell anymore {not manufatured} so it would be a waste of time
