If you Google any Anti virus software you will find a Report that tells you that it is the best you can use,and you can also find one that tells you that it is the worst.
Make a decision do you want to pay for one or want a free one.
Select one from the main stream AV's that seems to you to do the job and go for it.
You will find that as this thread gets larger you will find more and more AV programs recommended until you have just about every AV program recommended and you are back where you started

That chart helps ppl to judge accordingly. n BTW, these tests are run on a heavily infected machine with most wild viruses available out there. @ Dinesh, you probably have forgotten more than I know about Security but your reports mean absolutely nothing. With a different set of viruses, trojans etc. the results would be completely different.
Before this thread is finished you will find more than 20 AV'S recommended as they are the best.
The truth is that most do a good job but not a perfect job,it's a matter of perception if you think that a certain AV does a better job use it and BE HAPPY with the thought that your system is protected.
As stated earlier a multi-layered approach is the best defense.
