Best joypad brand for Android phones?

I have 2 smartphones, a Samsung Galaxy S5 and a Forward NGM Prime ... I just wonder what joypad (possibly cheap one) can be used to turn it into a console. Here and there I heard some joypads aren't fully compatible, but I don't know if it's something iOS related or just a matter of Android version. Any suggestion?

Side question: are this kind of joypad usually compatible with win7?
