Best program to catalogue drive folders?

I'm struggling to find a free program that will provide me with a simple catalogue of each of my 3 disks & their partitions. I want to ensure that should anything ever happen to a partition (say by me errantly formatting it as nearly happened recently!) that I would at least know which it was & what folders/files were on it. I've 3 drives & 14 partitions across them some large, some small, some of little value & some priceless!

So far most programs I've looked at are either too large or paid for versions & some (e.g. Cathy) just won't workfor me for some reason. But Cathy seems more aimed at music collections or something along those lines which isn't what I want. And others don't have an option for folders rather than files to be catalogued.

SO hoping someone on here maybe has more ideas on where to look for a more suitable one?

Thanks.
