Haha, I like the way you describe Opera: "it's inevitable". It's certainly considered one of the better browsers after Chrome and Firefox, certainly in terms of mobile use.
There's a graph here which shows the leading browsers for mobile/desktop. Perhaps it's no surprise that Chrome is the winner...
Just one thing to note about Opera, is that it's famous for its Opera Mini, which is the only browser for current Nintendo games consoles. So on mobile, it works best, but on Windows, it's still better to install Firefox or Chrome IMO.
