BIOS settings needed for HDX910WFK4DGI on XFX 750i motherboard

I don't know what happened. I had this processor and motherboard working just fine. But after my BIOS reset, I can't seem to find the right combination of settings to get it to work. I have gone here:

AMD Phenom II X4 910 - HDX910WFK4DGI / HDX910WFGIBOX

and checked many other forums but I can't find anything that gives me close to the answer I need. Now my PC will boot up and give me a check sum error with the option to Press F1 for BIOS setup F2 to continue and load a default setup. I press F2 the system boots into windows 7 and I check the PC properties and it shows my correct processor and speed, but I get about 7 or 8 blank apps running in the system try. If I reboot, it now wont even go to post. Fans run, Power is on, but I get just a blank screen, No beeps. Then I have to reset my BIOS again to get it to go to the first error screen. If I press F1 I can get to the BIOS, I can see my processor, and make changes, but no mater what I changed. When I do a save and reboot from there, it just comes up with a black screen. Once again I have to do a CMOS reset.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or just happen to have the BIOS settings I need to get this processor to work on my motherboard.

Yes, I upgraded. But I had this (Upgraded) processor running just found. I just can't seem to re-figure out the setting to get it to work again. I'm hoping someone has this same combination at home and can tell me what the BIOS settings are so I can just copy it and get it to work again.

It is not normally necessary to make any special BIOS settings changes to get a compatible processor to work with a system.

You could check to see if the X4-910 is compatible on the webpage for the motherboard.

What you do have to do when you replace a processor with another model is create a new CHECKSUM. Here are two procedures:

The surest procedure is to do a ClearCMOS or CLRTC:

• Note all your current BIOS settings
• Shut down the computer > remove the power cord.
• Remove the 3v battery.
• Move the CLRTC jumper from pins 1-2 to 2-3.
• Touch a metal part of the case and Press and Hold the reset button for approx. 30 seconds to discharge all power from the board.
• Put the CLRTC jumper back on pins 1-2.
• Replace the 3v battery > replace the power cord > boot.
• Immediately go back into BIOS and reset all your preferred settings. If the CLRTC worked you will need to reset the date and time.

For Asus boards you can simply do a CPR procedure ([FONT=&quot]CPU Parameter Recall):

• Enter BIOS > Reset BIOS Defaults
• [FONT=&quot]Power down, switch off the power supply or remove power cord from the PSU for at least 2 minutes and then power up.[/FONT]
• Enter BIOS > Reset BIOS Defaults again.

I check and the CPU is compatible with my board. I even got it running a while back just fine. The problem is my BIOS loss all the settings that make my motherboard work with that CPU.

But I have seen it work perfectly before.

Tried a nice full BIOS reset just as you have described. I still check the same checksum boot up error.

You should check the 3v battery on the motherboard. If the BIOS is not retaining settings that would explain it.

If you do not have a tester then just replace the battery. it is a CR2032. They are cheap enough and sold practically everywhere.
