i need help

i recently backed up my 23bit XP files ... in readynees to upgrading to win7 64 bit.
i did it in 2 ways ...
the normal back up which was given a .bkf extension
i did it twice the first one only had 10gb and the 2nd has 70gb

i am unable to open either ..

so i tried using the Easy Transferr .... this again only had 10gb ,,,,, i was able to use this but alot of files were missing

i have been on all the forums and tried everything that has been suggested ... and still cant open any of the .bkf files ....

can anyone help ...
