Hey,

I get a black bar on the right side of the page whenever Chrome displays a page that uses Flash. However, all the buttons are at the proper positions, making navigation difficult. Basically, I have the problem from here. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks

I did a quick google, and the consensus is to disable the Pepper Flash plugin (not all of flash, just this plugin)

Type about:plugins in the address bar and disable it under the Macromedia section

Don't use Chrome myself, so no screenshots ;)

Thanks! That fixed it. Where did you find that suggestion? Please send me the link. I have a couple of friends who have the same problem :P

Never mind. On one YouTube page, it does that black bar again, with the PepperFlash disabled. But not on other pages...

In googling, this is a common issue. I even see where Norton Identity Safe can cause this. Do you have the very latest release of Chrome (I know they update like every five seconds :D). They are reporting this on the Chromium product forums as well, so it's likely they are working on it. A Guy

Ok, something strange is happening.
When I enable all 3 Flash thingies, Chrome automatically uses the PPAPI version, instead of the NPAPI version, which is normal.
When I disable PPAPI, it uses NPAPI, and on YouTube, the videos don't play.
HOWEVER, when I enable PPAPI, the YouTube videos play, but they play upside down...well, at least most of them.
Some work normally with PPAPI, but NONE of them work with NPAPI.

Sorry I don't use Chrome, so can't even begin to explain all that, lol. A Guy
