Black border's around screen when in bios or safe mode

logicearth, that is an interesting answer. I have scoured the web as many users have this issue. Nowhere in my BIOS do I have an option for that. How would one set default settings for the gpu, is it in the Vbios?

+1 The only option's i have for any type of scaling are for the monitor's scaling "center/fit " but these make absolutely no difference to the screen size lol. It's nice to see that it's got you all racking your brains still :D

My theory: It's hidden generic non-fancy code and you get what you get. :D

If you have trouble reading it, you might need to sit closer and/or need better glasses.

I knew a hardware tech who was nearly blind, he would read the monitor from literally 1 inch away, it was quite unusual, he got fired for falling asleep on the job, though.

If you expect the tiny BIOS code to handle video adjusting, you are asking too much of it, I think that covers it, that space costs $. :geek:

And safe mode driver is generic as it can get to handle all available video cards.

The IEEE probably had a hand in both of those things. :D

Somewhere some user with a Titan video card is still running Windows 7 with the default driver and thinks it's running great. :devil:
