Black Screen after Win 7 Logo I can see the mouse

I can see the mouse after my windows logo shows up but nothing else. Ctrl alt del does not work nothing works. The only thing I can think of is randomly my computer shut down yesterday while it was plugged in. Its a laptop battery still in and still works. The computer is only 8 months old. I can get into safe mode. Please help i am in Iraq and this laptop is my connection to my family.

I have tried a clean boot turning off system service after hiding microsoft and I also stopped startup items under msconfig it said diagnostic startup this didnt work either. I have recovery disks i made myself when i first got the laptop its 3 dvds. I dont really care about my files but if system recovery wont work i dont want to do it. Also i just want to make sure it is not an issue that can be resolved some other way first. I have already tried removing the battery holding down power for 2 min. I have already tried a system restore point that was not successful. PLEASE help me

Try an even earlier System Restore point.
If that doesn't work, then I'd advise a wipe and reinstall of Windows.
I've spent many hours trying to fix these things without success - and have found that the wipe and reinstall is the least painful and most successful method to use.

i ended up doing a wipe and reinstall and it works i can deal without the stuff that was on it i got as much as i could on an external thank you for the assistance
