Black Screen - Help Please!

Hi,

Long story short, I declined the windows 10 installation (just before agreeing to the terms) and then the screen reboots, trying to restore the previous version of window (window 7), but after reboot, the screen is all black and I can only see the cursor. Other than that, nothing shows up or is clickable. I did try to reboot into safe mode and I can see everything that was on my desktop, so nothing is lost, but oddly enough when I try to reboot normally, all I get is the black screen and movable cursor... Help please!

Edit: Now it just keeps rebooting, saying it's unable to start and when I tried Startup Repair.
There is no 'Command Prompt' option, as it only lists 'Startup Repair' and 'Recovery Management', and I have no recovery disk either.

Hello and welcome poiu now if you can get into safe mode the sfc is best run for two to three times and also I would be running this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 in safe mode

Now all else failing I would personally retrieve all my data (can be done without a Windows boot) then do a clean all on that drive then reinstall the OS. That is assuming you have thr original installatiom media. If the machine was factory installed then you may have a factory restore partition you can use to bring it back to out of the box condition but that also loses all the data so again you would need to back up your data before doing that.
