Black Screen Login

I am getting a black screen after the "Welcome Screen" In Windows 7 x64. It lasts for about 6 seconds.
On the Guest account this does not happen.
I created a new account and it happens on there also.

I've tried a few things but im really stuck, any help will be appreciated

USe startup Repair

I cant use startup repair because I'm using GRUB2 to boot. Besides its starts up fine, its the after login that produces the black screen.

NEW INFO:

Black screen occurs on new ADMINISTRATOR account, but not STANDARD

When upgrading new standard account to admin via
(net localgroup administrators [user] /add)
The black screen error is reproduced.

Is this an error with the domain controller then?
